We acknowledge that we are proud to steward the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish Peoples, specifically, the shared traditional territories of the səl̓ilw̓ət (Tsleil-Waututh), sq̓əc̓iy̓aɁɬ təməxʷ (Katzie), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) First Nations.

Hoy - Scott Watershed Society, (HSWS) is a not-for-profit, volunteer run environmental stewardship group, that conducts a salmon enhancement program in partnership with the City of Coquitlam, and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. We are actively involved in watershed restoration, public awareness, education and preservation.
Volunteers with the Hoy/Scott Watershed Society were out marking storm drains in Coquitlam, helping remind residents that what goes down a storm drain can make its way into local waterways and salmon-bearing streams.
