Society Participates in Gleneagle Secondary Volunteer Fair

Maya Uno speaks to a student of Gleneagle Secondary School.

Thank you to Gleneagle Secondary in Coquitlam for hosting the Hoy/Scott Watershed Society at their Volunteer Fair held on November 24. Special mention to Aiden Lee who extended the invite and is a student of the school and has been a volunteer at the hatchery for many years.

The Society was represented by Maya Uno and Anne Woosnam.

The students had lots of great questions, and the Society relies on student volunteers to help meet its mandate.

Students who are interested in becoming volunteers can review information on our Support page and complete a registration form.

Society Acknowledged at Coquitlam Environmental Volunteer Celebration

Environmental Volunteer Celebration

Hoy/Scott Watershed Society was acknowledged by the City of Coquitlam at their Environmental Volunteer Celebration held on June 4 at Blue Mountain Park. Thanks to Robbin Whachell and Adela Chen for attending and representing the Society.

Words were provided by the mayor of Coquitlam, Richard Stewart as well as Caresse Selk, Environment Manager.

Along with lunch, attendees enjoyed a tree walk through Blue Mountain Park as well as live music and displays and activities. It was a perfect time to connect with other community environmental leaders.

Our highlights from 2022 were on display!

Hoy-Scott Watershed Holds AGM and Planning Session

Our annual general meeting was held on December 12th, 2015 at the Coquitlam Public Library.

We use this annual get=-together to review our past year's work, to brainstorm new ideas and projects, and set goals for the coming year.

It's always followed by our Christmas social at a local restaurant.  See more photos (thanks to Dulce) in our Facebook album.
